Smoky, sweet and spicy heat perfectly blended for these fried Brussels sprouts, as a plant-based alternative to buffalo chicken wings.
Smoky Honey Buffalo Sauce
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine Frank's RedHot® sauce, butter, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder and onion powder.
- Cook, stirring until butter has melted and sauce is well combined. Hold hot for service or refrigerate until needed.
- Set fryer to 350°F (180°C). Fry 1/2 pound (250 g) Brussels sprouts until golden brown and crisp, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Drain and transfer to a large bowl. Drizzle with 1/4 cup (60 ml) sauce and toss until Brussels sprouts are evenly coated. Serve hot with additional sauce for dipping.
