Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations Award

McCormick has been recognized as the 23rd most sustainable company on the 2018 Corporate Knights Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations Index. McCormick also ranked No. 1 in the Food Products Industry for the second consecutive year.

The announcement was made at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland by Corporate Knights, a Canadian market research company. This recognition highlights the importance of our Purpose-led Performance (PLP) initiatives and how they differentiate our company. As a global leader in flavor, McCormick continues to make progress on several PLP goals.

Those commitments include to:

• Source our iconic ingredients sustainably;
• Improve the livelihoods of small farmers who grow McCormick's iconic herbs and spices;
• Champion equality for women and people of color through supplier diversity programs, educational programs and employee focused initiatives;
• Reduce the company's environmental impact by lowering our carbon footprint, decreasing water use, reducing solid waste and developing sustainable packaging innovations.

The Global 100 Index is recognized as a leader in transparency and industry best practices for sustainability. The companies named are among the top overall sustainability performers in their respective industries; Corporate Knights assesses all publicly traded companies with a market capitalization of at least $2 billion to create the annual ranking. The Global 100 Index is determined by using 12 sustainability indicators, including energy, water and waste productivity, innovation capacity, employee turnover and safety performance.
